Memorial Bench Installed in Kilpeck Parish

Kilpeck Church

July 2025

Kilpeck Parish Council is pleased to announce the installation of a new memorial bench, now in place near the churchyard.

The bench has been installed by our dedicated Lengthsman and was purchased by the Parish Council, along with a commemorative plaque, as a lasting tribute to George Meadmore, a lifelong resident of Kilpeck Parish.

Positioned in a peaceful spot surrounded by greenery, the bench offers a quiet place to sit, reflect, and enjoy the surroundings. The plaque on the bench reads:

In memory of George Meadmore, a lifelong resident of Kilpeck Parish

The Council is proud to honour Mr. Meadmore’s memory in this way and hopes the bench will be appreciated by both residents and visitors for years to come.

We invite all to take a moment to enjoy the bench and reflect on the contributions of those who have shaped our parish.

May 2025

We're delighted to share that our new village noticeboard on Kilpeck Village Green has now been installed, thanks to the hard work of our lengthsman, Jamie Probert. It takes pride of place on the village green and has been repositioned closer to the defibrillator to ensure access for all.

A big thank you to Jamie for a job well done - the new board is a fantastic addition to our community space!

Kilpeck Village Public Defibrillator

Kilpeck Village Green Opposite the Kilpeck INN

December 2019

British Telecom informed the Parish Council in 2016 that following a Public consultation the Public Telephone and its type "K6" Kiosk situated on Kilpeck Village Green were going to be disconnected due to lack of use.

In 2017 The Parish Council were given the option of a conditional purchase for a nominal £1.00 fee. Several options for use were considered with the final agreement being to refurbish the kiosk, which you will see from Photograph No1 was in a sorry state. The Kiosk was stripped back to bare metal replacing all parts as required followed by a repaint.

Thanks to grant funding from The Big Lottery Fund a Public Defibrillator was purchased and installed.
